Black mothers in America are 3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes due to systemic neglect and racial bias.
Use pixelated OOH posters of iconic black mothers to emphasize how easy it is to recognize them—even through the blur. Challenge the audience: if it’s easy to identify these women, it should be just as easy to see that the black maternal mortality is a glaring issue.
The problem should be clear.
The fastest woman in the world, Tori Bowie, passed away in April 2023 at 32 years old due to preventable pregnancy complications.
Queen of the court, Serena Williams, had to save her own life a day after delivering her daughter, Olympia.
